  • BCI Group 24 size (10.25" L x 6.61" W x 8.24" T)
  • IP67 watertight
  • 17 lbs

The S2460 is an upgrade for BCI Group 24 lead acid batteries.  It is intended for use with 12V outboards and 12V marine electronics. At only 17 lbs, its an easy way to save weight with engine start batteries vs AGM. They are the same size as a typical BCI Group 24 case. (10.25" L x 6.61" W x 8.24" T)

The S series

The Sodium-ion ("S") series of Lithium Pros batteries leverage advanced, high power sodium-ion technology to bring you a safe, lightweight option vs traditional lead acid batteries.  Sodium-ion batteries are a very safe, cost effective, and emerging alternative to lithium-ion including LiFePO4.  The Lithium Pros sodium-ion cells are optimized for high power making them perfect for engine start.

Of course, starting the engine is one thing.  Safely charging an advanced battery back from various charging systems, either alternators or stator type, is another thing. This is where the S series really shines.  The S series of batteries can accept rapid charge rates at a wide voltage range.

Benefit from superior charge efficiency, weight reduction, and cycle lives beyond 1,500 cycles with the S series. Built with active cell balancing, the S series of batteries are recommended for use with all 12V marine alternators and stator charging systems. They can be charged with typical 12V lead acid battery chargers and are IP67 water tight.

First units ship around August 15, 2024.

*MCA Eq means that it will behave similar to a lead-acid battery of the same BCI MCA rating.  It involves delivering the rated current for 8 seconds at 32'F.

**Do not "de-sulfate" any sodium-ion battery.  See instructions for more details.
